Professor Dr. Md. Manjur Alam graduated from Rajshahi Medical College in 1981. He joined as Assistant Surgeon under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of Bangladesh in July 1981.

Then he was trained in Casualty Surgery and General Surgery at Dhaka Medical College Hospital from 1987 to 1991. He obtained Fellowship in General Surgery from Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS) in 1997. He worked as Consultant Surgeon at Rarsingdi District Hospital 1997 – 1998, as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor of Surgery Department from 1998 to 2012 at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College, Bogura from 2013 to till date. He has been working as Professor of Surgery at Green Life Medical College, Green Road, Dhaka.

He has around 20 publications in National Journals. He conducted Final Professor MBBS Examination, MS Examination under Dhaka University, Rajshahi University and Fellowship Examination of Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS)
