Dr. Mahbuba Shabnam graduated from Ibrahim Medical College under Dhaka University in 2011 and completed internship training in BIRDEM General Hospital. After that, she joined as Lecturer of Biochemistry in the same institute and been there for six months. Then, she started working as a postgraduate trainee doctor in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) from 2013 to the end of 2016. During this period, she gained experience and developed skills through rigorous training in the Department of Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, and Endocrinology. In 2017, she did one-year academic course which included working in the department of Medicine, Endocrinology, and Rheumatology in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

She obtained the prestigious Fellowship (FCPS) in Internal Medicine from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in January 2019. Then she joined as Registrar in the department of Medicine, Green Life Medical College in the same year. She has been working as Assistant Professor of Medicine in Green Life Medical College from 2021.

In order to enrich knowledge and experience, she attended several workshops on research methodology and, multiple trainings on teaching methodology and assessment. She actively participated in different national and international scientific seminars, research works and publications as well. She holds the prestigious title of Fellow in the American College of Physicians (FACP, USA) .She is a life member of Bangladesh Society of Medicine (BSM).

She is dedicatedly involved in teaching as well as various academic activities for the undergraduate and postgraduate students of Medicine. During the long career, Dr. Mahbuba Shabnam is well-known as an efficient physician serving the community in variable resource settings. By the grace of Almighty, she is admired for the good concern and caring attitude towards her patients.
