Prof. Dr. Muna Shalima Jahan graduated from Sir Salimullah Medical College in 1994. She joined Bangladesh civil services in 1997 being stood first (17^th BCS, health cadre). Currently working at department of OBGYN at Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital.

She did her Fellowship (BCPS) and Masters (BSMMU) in OBGYN in 2005 and 2006 respectively. She worked as registrar at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney, Australia in 2003 and was trained in Urogynecology as a clinical fellow at Mackay Memorial Hospital, Taiwan in 2009. She has keen interest in medical education and achieved FAIMER (Foundation for Advancement in Medical Education and Research) fellowship from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, Punjab, India (2009-02011). Since then, she is working in this field at her working places and at medical education department of BCPS. She is also a faculty and module coordinator for Certificate Course on Medical Education (CMed) at BIRDEM Academy.

Prof. Muna has received extensive training in research methodology and health science research and has several publications in both international and national peer reviewed journals. She is a member and reviewer of Journal committee of BCPS and Sir Salimullah Medical College. She is a trainer and faculty for research method training at BCPS. She is also a faculty of Certificate Course on Research Methodology (CCRM) of BIRDEM Academy.

She has knack in writing articles on health-related issues in dailies and weeklies for the general population. She also published two books on First Aid and Female health in Bengali. She is also a writer of chapters in two medical textbooks on OBGYN for undergraduate and post graduate medical students.
