Prof. Dr. Ayub Ansari, Graduated from Osmani Medical College Hospital, Sylhet in 1983, and obtained his MS (Neurosurgery) from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in 2007.

He join as Assistant Surgeon at Sylhet Medical College Hospital on July 5, 1983. He was working as Medical Officer at Upazila Health Complex, Chandina, Comilla from 26 November 1984 to 26 November 1984, then he worked in IPGM&R as Medical Officer / Assistant Registrar in Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery and Neurosurgery Department from 27 November 1986 to 29 April 1998 respectively. He worked as a resident (absorbed) in the Department of Neurosurgery, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University from 30 April 1998 to 30 June 2007. He was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2007, Associate Professor in 2013 and Professor in 2022 respectively in the Department of Neurosurgery, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.

Dr. Ansari is member of World Federation of Neurosurgeons Society (WFNS), Founder Member of Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Founder Member of Society of Neurosurgeons, Bangladesh, and Life Member of Bangladesh Medical Association. He took his Fellowship in Micro-neurosurgery, International Institute (INI), Hannover, Germany.

He has around 16 publications in national and international journals
